Key Responsibilities of the Controller



  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets, as the Controller

  • Ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting while maintaining compliance with GAAP as the Controller

  • Develop, implement, and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the Controller

  • Lead audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory partners as the Controller

  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, procurement‑related accounting, and team development as the Controller




Qualifications for the Controller



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; experience in nonprofit, government, or multi‑entity environments preferred

  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills; a CPA or advanced degree is a plus
