Part-Time Accountant
Location: New Albany, Ohio
Pay: $35/hour-$40/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Accountant to join our team in New Albany, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the close process, working hands-on in the general ledger, and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of accounts, including month-end close (MEC), reconciliations, and journal entry (JE) recommendations


• Review and manage outstanding accounts payable items


• Perform balance sheet reviews and prepare reclasses as needed for audit readiness


• Manage the close process, prepare financial statements, and ensure data accuracy and cleanliness


• Identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and implement solutions

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with general ledger (GL) accounting in a day-to-day capacity


• Experience working in a similar industry or company environment


• Proficiency with Yardi accounting software


• Familiarity with HUD guidelines and reporting


• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and work independently


• Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid


• Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs
