Senior Accountant (Consolidations)

Overview

A growing, multi-entity and multinational organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to support the corporate accounting function with a strong focus on financial consolidations, month-end close, and reporting. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who can operate at either the senior accountant or manager level depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a complex corporate environment with multiple legal entities, intercompany activity, and international operations. This person will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting process improvements across the accounting organization.

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL. (On-Site)
Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000 (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations across multiple domestic and international entities.


• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions, balances, and eliminations.


• Assist with and/or lead the month-end and year-end close process.


• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.


• Analyze financial results and investigate variances across business units and entities.


• Support the preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP.


• Coordinate with finance and accounting teams across multiple locations to ensure consistent reporting.


• Maintain and improve consolidation processes, reporting workflows, and internal controls.


• Assist with external audits, tax support requests, and compliance reporting.


• Partner with leadership on special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.


• Mentor junior staff or assist with workflow management, depending on level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.


• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience for Senior Accountant level.


• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility for Manager level.


• Strong experience with financial consolidations in a multi-entity environment.


• Experience working for a multinational company with foreign subsidiaries and currency translation exposure preferred.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.


• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and consolidation software preferred.
