Mission of the Position
Xurrent is looking to hire a Revenue Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team! This is a key role responsible for revenue recognition, billing, and collections. This role is based in our Austin office.
Responsibilities
Review customer contracts and order forms to identify billing terms and performance obligations
Create, review, and issue customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing schedules
Collections as needed
Ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with ASC 606
Maintain revenue and deferred revenue schedules and supporting documentation
Reconcile billed vs. recognized revenue and investigate variances
Support month-end close activities related to revenue and deferred revenue
Partner with Sales, and customer success team to resolve contract, billing, and revenue issues
Ensure data flows correctly between CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce to NetSuite)
Prepare audit support and respond to revenue-related audit requests
Identify process improvements to reduce manual work and improve accuracy
Maintain documentation of revenue and billing processes and controls
Requirements
BS/BBA in Accounting/Finance related field,
2-3 years of relevant revenue accounting experience (preferably in a startup environment).
Hands-on and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
SaaS Experience is highly preferred
International accounting/multi-entity experience is a plus.
Self-starter, open to navigating through ambiguous environments.
Hybrid work schedule based out of our Austin office, 3 days per week in office.
