IT Client Support Specialist 3 PCN 213087

Location: Anchorage, AK (may be located in Anchorage, Alaska, works primarily onsite within a professional office environment.)

Position Open to Alaskan Residents only.

Responsibilities

Provide hands‑on technical support for Department of Revenue staff, independently triaging and resolving service desk tickets involving endpoints, user access, Group Policy updates, Microsoft 365, and related systems.

Serve as a direct IT liaison to assigned divisions, ensuring timely issue resolution, clear communication, and follow‑through from intake through closure.

Coordinate with Office of Information Technology (OIT) Tier 3 teams for escalated infrastructure, network, or enterprise‑level issues while maintaining ownership of assigned requests.

Support IT operations tasks including device provisioning, software licensing tracking, contractor access coordination (including ZPA), and IT procurement facilitation.

Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and operational consistency in a structured, compliance‑driven environment supporting secure public systems.

Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoots, diagnoses, analyzes, and identifies system malfunctions to determine the source and cause of the problem.

Minimum Qualifications (Competency‑Based)

Education and/or experience that provides competencies in customer service, information assurance, systems integration, and technical problem solving.

Training and experience in installing new computers, printers, peripheral devices; loading and troubleshooting software and hardware; maintaining security software; and configuring network settings for workstations.
