
Sr. Payroll Operations Analyst

Overview
We seek a Sr. Payroll Operations Analyst to join our Payroll team with a focus on assisting with the day to day operations, payroll processing, analysis, compliance and reporting. This role will also work directly with our employees, and various cross-functional teams to resolve any issues with payroll records to ensure completeness and accuracy. The successful candidate will have 3 years payroll experience, payroll tax knowledge, exceptional communication skills, is eager to learn, and is able to handle multiple priorities at same time.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the accurate and timely input of payroll data that is provided by various business units.
Interpret garnishments, child support orders, state/federal tax levies and enter in Oracle Payroll as described on the legal document.
Ensure that taxes are withheld correctly for employees working in multiple jurisdictions.
Monitor payroll / time and labor operations mailbox, respond to queries and provide an end of day summary to management.
Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each payroll to ensure accurate filings by tax service provider.
Monitor processes and procedures to ensure controls are adequate and compliant with all company policies.
Resolve all out of balance conditions between Payroll provider, third party vendor, bank wires and general ledger.
Gather and report requested data to internal and external recipients.
Track internally and manage all legislative changes to stay 100% compliant.
Work with HR to process payroll for employees on a leave of absence.
Responsible for the collection of timecard data and the reporting of missing timecards.
Assist with testing related to payroll activities for patches, projects, etc.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and administration of new business requirements as needed.
Ensure compliance with our ADP Wage, Tax and Garnishment system integration.
Provide back-up support for other team members as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience with strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations.
Solid understanding of applicable laws, codes, multi-state taxation, and compliance requirements related to payroll processing.
Thorough knowledge of current federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, including multi-state and locality exposure.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage projects and drive tasks to completion.
Self-starter with the ability to multitask effectively, work under pressure, and operate with minimal supervision.
Ability to assess the impact of tax regulation changes and lead discussions or process updates as needed.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
Salary Range (annually): $83,800.00 - $136,800.00
