Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for investigating reports of internal and external theft, fraud, threats and workplace violence. Utilizes technology, analysis, field security research, interviewing and assessment techniques to protect and safeguard personnel, information and assets. This position will work with a team, providing expertise and resources to local law enforcement and company personnel at the involved locations nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze cargo theft events, GPS data, CCTV video, alarm and access control systems, and interview witnesses and suspects, in response to incidents to identify behaviors, root causes, locations, potential evidence, and person(s) involved
Compile and present case summaries and metrics
Utilize a structured investigative workflow and case management system to track and close investigations
Conduct investigations related to threats originating from internal incidents and issues such as theft of customer assets, fraud, and workplace violence or threats of violence
Conduct interviews of victims, witnesses and persons of interest utilizing established interviewing techniques and skills specific to corporate investigations
Collect, document, and preserve video, still images, documents, and other materials connected to an investigation and maintain it as part of the investigation’s workflow and case adjudication process
Organize, prioritize, and investigate multiple incidents
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 5 or more years experience working in the Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Incident Management, or related field.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor’s degree; experience in conducting in depth and complex corporate, cargo, and/or vendor investigations
Ability to empathize and verbally connect with people during both stressful and non-stressful situations
Experience in Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Incident Management
Experience with Adobe Acrobat DC, Microsoft Office 365, Video management systems, and a cloud-based case management system
Experience with CCTV video review and preservation
Facilitating the accurate recollection of conversations, interactions and observations
Knowledge of investigation methods
Proficient analytical skills
Proficient communication skills (written and verbal)
Understanding of Chain of Custody.
This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
Compensation
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
