
Install Technician - Low Voltage Security

This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming out of a trade school or technical program with a foundational understanding of electrical systems or low‑voltage work. You’ll receive hands‑on training in the field, working closely with experienced leads and a dedicated project manager to ensure you gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. We’re looking for someone motivated, reliable, and ready to learn in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with installation of low‑voltage cabling and electrical components
Support lead technicians with system installs and service calls
Learn and apply best practices for security systems, access control, and alarm systems
Troubleshoot basic issues under supervision
Install and service CCTV/camera systems
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Provide excellent customer service while on‑site
Required Skills
Basic understanding of cabling, installation, and electrical systems
Interest in low‑voltage systems and fieldwork
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience or exposure to:
Access control systems
CCTV / Camera systems
Burglar alarm systems
Previous hands‑on training or coursework in electrical or low‑voltage technology
Strong troubleshooting mindset
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sewickley, PA.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour.
