
Parts Clerk

Transdev in Elmira, NY is hiring a Parts Clerk. The Parts Clerk performs basic ordering and stocking of parts, data entry, and maintains files and vehicle records.
Compensation
$18.72 - $19.46 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
Starting pay $19.46 with progression to $19.46 over 2 years.
Benefits
Vacation: 7 days first year, 14 thereafter
Personal/Sick Days: 6 personal and 6 sick days
Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time, 5 hrs monthly part-time; Teamsters Health Insurance, Pension, and company holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Order, receive, and stock parts; maintain storage area.
Computer data entry & pulling reports.
Maintain files and related records.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 to 3 years of parts room experience.
Computer literate with strong attention to detail.
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions - 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
