Interim HR Compliance Analyst (Short-Term Assignment)

We are seeking an experienced
Interim HR Compliance Analyst
to support a short term project focused on
digitizing HR employee records and auditing Form I-9 documentation . This role will work onsite and partner closely with HR leadership to ensure compliance with federal employment and record retention requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Digitize and organize existing employee personnel files into a centralized electronic system
Conduct a comprehensive
I-9 audit , identifying errors, missing documentation, and re-verification needs in accordance with USCIS guidelines
Correct and remediate I-9 deficiencies where permissible; flag risk areas and provide clear documentation of findings
Ensure employee records meet federal and state compliance, confidentiality, and retention standards
Deliver a summary of audit results and recommendations upon project completion
Qualifications:
Prior experience in HR compliance, HR operations, or HR auditing roles
Hands on experience conducting
I-9 audits
and managing personnel records
Strong attention to detail and working knowledge of employment eligibility requirements
Comfortable working onsite in a fast paced, short term project environment
