Quality Inspector Supervisor, PQC - Day Shift
We seek an experienced quality inspector supervisor to lead and support our Process Quality Control (PQC) inspectors on the production floor. The role involves ensuring all inspections are completed according to standard operating procedures, maintaining accurate quality records, and communicating quality issues promptly to Process, Equipment, and Production teams. The supervisor will coordinate daily PQC activities, develop inspector skills, and partner with process, engineering, and production teams to support manufacturing goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, schedule, and direct daily activities of PQC inspection teams
Coach, train, and provide performance feedback to PQC inspectors
Lead daily stand‑up meetings to share updates, expectations, and quality concerns
Oversee quality inspections on the production floor to ensure compliance with standards and SOPs
Monitor production processes to proactively identify and resolve quality issues
Initiate and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO, OSHA, environmental requirements)
Maintain accurate quality documentation, audits, and compliance reports
Promote a collaborative, accountable, and performance‑driven team culture
Report quality metrics, issues, and improvement progress to senior management
Act as a primary contact for quality‑related concerns from production
Align quality objectives with production goals through effective communication
Perform other duties as assigned

Strong sense of ownership and accountability for plant goals
Creative problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset
Excellent presentation and reporting skills

Education & Experience
Post‑high school accreditation or Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
0–3+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in manufacturing
Prior experience managing teams, including hiring, training, and performance management
Solar manufacturing experience is a plus
Required Skills
Proficiency in office software (e.g., Word, Excel, reporting tools)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
Positive, team‑oriented attitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with daily quality department workflows
Flexibility to support night and weekend coverage as required
Desired Skills
5+ years of experience in the solar energy industry
Knowledge of solar module manufacturing, testing, and quality standards
Understanding of U.S. energy regulations and solar compliance requirements
Relevant certifications such as NABCEP, PMP, or similar

The range for this position is $63,086.00 - $86,743.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
