Tax Accountant

LHH recruitment solutions is hiring a Tax Preparer/ Accountant in the Boca Raton, FL area. Our client is searching for a Tax Preparer with a strong background in Business and Individual returns. This role is working fully in office and does offer 401k and PTO benefits.
You are a great fit if:
CPA highly preferred but not required.
Familiarity with UltraTax is preferred, though experience with comparable professional tax software is acceptable.
5 -10 plus years’ experience in public accounting.
Responsibilities to include:
Compute taxes owed or refunds due using specialized software, calculators, and tax tables.
Interview clients to obtain necessary information on taxable income, expenses, and allowances.
Consult tax law handbooks, bulletins, and regulations to determine proper procedures for atypical returns.
Check tax forms for errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedure.
Provide guidance to clients on future tax planning to minimize liability.
