Job Overview
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise from employee laptop/desktop computers and peripherals. Ensure customer issues and tickets are resolved in a timely manner using the Service Now ticket system. Assist end users with packaged software and provide basic support for critical applications. Handle software installations, license tracking, and support. Provide hardware support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, copiers, and telephones, working closely with Corporate IT on hardware purchasing and asset management.

Responsibilities

Provide desktop support by troubleshooting and resolving laptop/desktop and peripheral issues.

Use Service Now to track, manage, and resolve tickets, and when necessary, escalation to the Network Infrastructure Team.

Assist with packaged software and basic support for critical applications.

Install software, track licenses, and provide ongoing support.

Provide hardware support for user devices and related accessories.

Maintain basic understanding of the local LAN topology to troubleshoot network issues.

Support Client infrastructure outsourcing partner with respect to servers and network infrastructure at the site.

Communicate technical issues in layman terms to end users.

Employ high levels of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness.

Resolve problems using patience and problem‑management techniques.

Requirements

3+ years of desktop support experience.

Experience assisting with mainframe issues, primarily implementations.

Experience assessing service tickets in Service Now and escalating appropriately.

Venture familiarity with VMware; experience a plus.

Industrial work environment experience.

Proficiency with MS operating systems and common packaged software.

Essential networking and server skills.

Associates degree in Computer Science or Management.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Basic knowledge of computer functions and support troubleshooting.

Experience with Windows 10 and Office 365 on desktops.

Experience with VMware for a server environment.

Ability to own tickets after escalation.

Employment Details
Location: Jackson, TN 38305. Must work onsite. 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. Pay range $24‑$27 per hour, up to $30 for top candidates. 6‑month Contract‑Hire.
