
Resident Assistant - Days (Part-Time)

Cedar Vale Assisted Living:
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care:
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
Health Monitoring:
Take vital signs (BP, pulse, temp) and report changes in resident condition to supervisors
urses.
Medication Support:
Remind residents to take meds, open containers, and observe self-administration.
Mobility Assistance:
Help with transfers and escorting residents.
Activity & Social Engagement:
Lead/encourage participation in activities, provide companionship, and support community life.
Environmental Support:
Perform light housekeeping, maintain a clean environment, and respond to pendant calls.
Documentation:
Complete daily logs, care records, and communication reports accurately.
Qualifications & Skills
Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm, organized, and make responsible decisions.
Passion for senior care and fostering independence.
High school diploma/GED often required, with CPR/First Aid training beneficial.
Experience in long-term care or assisted living is often preferred.

The primary goal is helping residents maintain their highest level of independence, supporting them rather than doing everything for them.
