## Description**Position Summary**We are looking for a skilled and dependable Forklift Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of our forklift fleet, including electric, propane, and diesel-powered equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial lift equipment and a commitment to keeping operations running safely and efficiently.---**Key Responsibilities*** Perform routine preventive maintenance on forklifts, material handling equipment, and tire service equipment.
Including oil changes, filter replacements, battery service, and fluid checks* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and propane/fuel system issues and carry out repairs in a timely manner* Inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns and take corrective action* Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts inventory logs* Coordinate with operations staff to minimize equipment downtime and communicate repair timelines* Order and track parts and supplies as needed* Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies* Assist with the evaluation of new equipment and make recommendations for fleet improvements**What We Offer*** Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience* Health, dental, and vision insurance* Paid time off and holidays* Opportunities for manufacturer-sponsored training and certification* 401k – Pete’s match .25% up to 6% employee contribution* 15k Life Insurance – additional coverage may be purchased* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)---**Physical Demands:**This role is required to sit, walk and talk, or hear. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.## Qualifications**Required Qualifications*** Two or more years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining forklifts or similar industrial equipment* Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems* Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation* Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards* Valid driver's license; forklift operator certification preferred* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse or industrial environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures---**Preferred Qualifications*** Vocational or technical school training in diesel mechanics, industrial equipment, or a related field* Experience with electric forklift battery maintenance and charging systems* Familiarity with fleet management software or CMMS platforms* Manufacturer certifications (Toyota, Crown, Raymond, Hyster/Yale, etc.) are a plus* Driver's License & clean driving record required
