Job Summary: This role is dedicated to ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in healthcare settings, adhering strictly to infection control and safety protocols. The individual will play a vital part in maintaining operational cleanliness and supporting patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas, including operating rooms and common spaces.
Clean and disinfect equipment and supplies, ensuring they are safe for use.
Properly handle, separate, and dispose of regular and biohazardous waste in compliance with safety standards.
Adhere to all infection prevention and safety policies.
Work both independently and collaboratively to fulfill department objectives.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Previous experience in a related support services role is advantageous.
Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is preferred.
1-2 years of relevant work experience recommended.
Work Schedule: Second shift, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
This position is located in a regional healthcare facility within the Midwest United States.
