Job Description
The Manager Senior, Strategic Projects position is responsible for orchestrating and operationalizing special projects for the division of Finance & Administration. This position ensures the coordination of initiatives, may represent the division to internal and external audiences, and oversees special project deliverables. The position collaborates and communicates with various LSC stakeholders, including executive leadership positions, to develop, implement, and assess campus- and College-wide initiatives. The position will handle sensitive or confidential records.
Essential Job Functions
Plans, develops, and implements reporting‑area process guidance. Manages drafting, editing, and revising area‑related process documents, as well as reports, recommendations, research memoranda, and other work products. Advises reporting area leadership concerning the development and implementation of process improvements.
Plans, develops, and implements area‑related, and otherwise affiliated strategic initiatives. Advises reporting area and executive‑level staff concerning the development and implementation of affiliated strategic initiatives.
Manages special project and initiative planning and delivery. Liaises between internal and external stakeholders, including College executives and College Trustees, to facilitate strategic initiative completion.
Supports the division with special projects and initiatives; performs detailed research and analyses, and completes reports of a sensitive or otherwise confidential nature.
Manages and develops project plans and presentations using a professional writing style to track and convey progress on project deliverables; creates and presents reports to meet project deliverables and tracking requirements.
Composes communications, documents, and reports in concert with the AVC Finance & Administration Business Operations.
Manages and optimizes various databases within the division, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Analyzes project goals, schedules deadlines for project completion, and develops action plans and processes for project completion from inception to evaluation.
Identifies trends, develops insights, and delivers actionable recommendations to drive business decisions within projects.
Develops, recommends, and implements necessary project improvements and changes to ensure project success.
Uses query functions in iStar and other reporting instruments to provide data in useful formats for complete cost analyses, expense projections, and trend reports to provide to leadership. Conducts research, collects data, and creates a variety of reports, presentations, correspondences, and communications (including hard copy and digital documents). Designs and develops queries, basic flow charts, and reports from PeopleSoft within Microsoft Office.
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Proficient in the use of computers and related software for word processing, spreadsheets, and database management, with specific software experience in Windows and Microsoft Office.

Physical Abilities
The work is sedentary. Typically the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Schedule and Conditions
Equipment used includes PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment.
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary
Hiring salary range is $72,821 - $83,745.
