Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist within a skilled nursing setting
Implement and adjust treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, range of motion activities, gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADL) training
Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient‑centered care; maintain accurate records and adhere to facility policies
Ensure proper equipment use, hygiene, and infection control during therapy sessions; assist with scheduling and session flow as needed
Requirements
Ability to work in a skilled nursing setting under supervision of a licensed physical therapist
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to meet guaranteed hours and adapt to travel assignment requirements
Willingness to comply with all job‑specific licensure and certification requirements as determined by state and employer
