Key Responsibilities
Hiring, training, coordination, solicitation and scheduling of projects; development and implementation of team member training programs; ongoing project management and supervision of team members.
Managing day‑to‑day operations of the program, including conducting meetings, providing leadership to the quality improvement process, promoting open communications, and resolving day‑to‑day problems and concerns of consumers and staff.
Developing and scheduling program work plans in accordance with specifications and funding limitations; overseeing daily operations and coordinating activities of the program; determining priorities.
Performing supervisory duties in relation to staff, which may include signing off on time cards, scheduling staff hours, and enforcing personnel policies.
Being available for supervision/consultation by staff and providing direction, feedback and positive support to supervisors.
Consulting with and advising team members on problem‑solving assistance, answering questions and clarifying program goals and policy interpretation; referring to the appropriate department person when unable to respond.
Participating in the peer review process and utilizing quality improvement measures to increase quality and reduce cost.
Providing clinical services appropriate to patient needs.
Ensuring that policies and procedures of the program comply with all regulatory and hospital standards and that staff understand and consistently implement these policies.
Ensuring that functional efficient processes occur in relation to patient admission, discharges and referral.
Evaluating program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devising evaluation methodology, implementing it, analyzing results and recommending or taking appropriate action.
Ensuring that the program meets the needs of consumers through an ongoing process of development that includes assessment, planning, and the implementation of plans.
Co‑ordinating activities of the program with inter‑related activities of other programs or departments to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications.
Ensuring effective communication within the program, the department, the hospital, and in the community.
Developing and implementing a plan for the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and ongoing development of staff that ensures a continuity of quality and provision of services.
Monitoring program expenditures to ensure that budget allocations are not overspent.
Assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of annual program goals, objectives and budget.
Evaluating and identifying training needs of staff and providing opportunities for staff development.
Assisting staff to integrate their professional goals with those of the institution.
Pursuing a continuing program of self‑development in order to maintain, strengthen and broaden own concepts, philosophy and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling (Behavioral Health) required or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 3‑10 years Behavioral Health experience.
Supervisory and teaching experience desirable.
Computer knowledge and skills as required.
Required Licensure / Certification Skills
NYS OMH Qualified Health Professional, or OASAS Qualified Health Professional.
Valid clinical credential, and/or licensure with valid registration maintained in good standing required.
