Qualifications
Must be a QMHP per Medicaid Provider Manual Guidelines
Possess specialized training in mental health services or at least one year of experience treating or working with individuals who have mental illness
Be a human services professional with at least a bachelor’s degree in a human services field
Duties and Responsibilities
Engage individuals in a welcoming, hopeful, empathic manner, regardless of disability or recovery phase
Screen for co-occurring disorders and recognize diagnostic criteria for substance abuse or dependency
Assess and evaluate the needs of individuals, develop goals, and create strength‑based, stage‑wise, client‑centered treatment plans; complete referral forms, clinical, and legal documentation; collaborate with community partners
Advocate and provide options for supports and services; seek out and develop community resources for assigned individuals
