Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
Work under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician to support daily plasma center operations, donor safety, and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

Determine donor eligibility, including managing informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).

Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities.

Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings requiring medical or technical guidance, including donor safety and eligibility issues.

Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.

Manage employee incidents, determine further evaluation needs with occupational health/ER, and refer to EHS guidance regarding incidents.

Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats in the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate level recognized nursing program with state requirements.

Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT‑Paramedic.

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.

Fulfillment of basic IV therapy state requirements.

Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation & Benefits
Location:

USA - ND - Bismarck

Hourly Wage:

$25.60 – $35.20 (adjustable based on qualifications and experience)
