Overview
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Primary Care, also referred to as a Primary Care Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Primary Care Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments in our orthopedic clinic. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast‑paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.
Shift’s Available: Days (No Weekends)

Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Responsibilities
You must be a Certified Medical Assistant from the National Healthcare Association or another nationally recognized organization to move forward in this position.
Welcome patients and prepare them for exams and procedures, ensuring a warm and professional environment.
Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR).
Assist in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
Provide patients with educational information regarding procedures, treatments, and preventative care.
Help manage appointments, follow‑up calls, and patient communications efficiently.
Will be responsible for prior authorization and checking benefit information prior to any procedure.
We provide patients with detailed information regarding any test results.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting.
Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.
Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization (required).
Minimum one year work experience in a public contact job.
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus
1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred.
