JOB SUMMARY
Performs skilled work relative to the operation of specialized maintenance and construction equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Drives and operates Back Hoe, Mini X, Skid Steer, Asphalt Roller, Grapple Truck, Vac All, Street Flusher, Hose Reel Drain Flusher Truck, Bucket Truck, and all other equipment/vehicles when needed.
Uses various hand-held tools and mechanized hand-held equipment.
Drives snowplows and salt/sand spreaders when needed; performs any work as required (concrete work, asphalt work etc.).
Inspects equipment/truck and makes minor adjustments or refers to Fleet Services for service.
Serves as First responder in inclement weather. Remains flexible in work schedule and subject to after hour call outs.
Sets up and removes barricades, lane cones, and warning signs to channel traffic around work crews.
Drives truck when traveling to and from job sites.
Assists with clean-up operations at accidents, spills, and other emergencies.
Operate Paving Machine, Hose Reel Flusher, Vac-All, and Street Sweeper, Bucket Truck, Grapple Truck and including all equipment in lower classifications.
Drives and operates all machinery used in various types of streets right of way construction and maintenance, Grader, Track-Hoe, Dozers, Tractor Trailer and including all equipment/vehicles when needed.
Inspects equipment for safe daily operations and makes minor adjustments or refers to Fleet Services for service.
May operate any equipment required to complete task.
Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Applicant must possess a valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and a clean driving record.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; must have at least three years in the operation of construction and maintenance equipment or any equivalent combination of education and experience; must possess a valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsements and a clean driving record.

DRUG TESTING All applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing; individual in this position will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.
