Job Summary

Oversee the daily and long-term management of the software and technology related hardware across CAMC. This includes planning, monitoring, training and supervision of asset management staff along with recording of software and hardware licenses to ensure compliance with audit groups as well as vendor contracts. The individual will develop procurement processes and procedures for technology asset spending across the organization, and review technology related contracts for efficiency, as well as possible cost saving methodologies. The IT Asset Management Lead will also work with Vendor Management to monitor vendor contracts and evaluate termination dates, renewal dates, termination clauses etc., to ensure that all contacts are renewed timely and accurately, as well as to help determine the next course of action for each related contract.

Demonstrates a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control. Maintains a level of cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and perform daily and long-term operational and management of hardware and software.
2. Evaluate, design, implement, and maintain processes relating to software and hardware asset management based on research of industry best practices and benchmark data, to include tracking and analysis of technical and financial data of software and hardware throughout asset lifecycle.
3. Responsible for managing, IT Asset Management team to include the staff's personal training, coaching, professional development, performance management, disciplinary actions and oversight.
4. Research industry best practices and compare against organization's practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing IT assets. In collaboration with IT Management, recommends asset purchasing that aligns with business objectives, as well as reviews overall costs and return on investment throughout asset lifecycle.
5. Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports pertaining to hardware and software lifecycle management.
6. Manage the tracking and maintenance of copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements and vendor contracts, in coordination with Vendor Management.
7. Oversee vendor relationships, specifically contract terminations/renewals and ongoing monitoring requirements, in conjunction with Vendor Management.
8. Manage inventory of assets, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded by the teams in charge in the tools to ensure that the compliance with vendor contracts.
9. Perform inventory and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of support, including periodic audits of hardware and software inventories.
10. Evaluate, design, and implement processes for maximizing or exploiting unused or partially used IT assets to achieve full efficiency from company resources.
11. Complex Technology problem solving that may affect more than one system of responsibility and effectively coordinate efforts with other department resources to resolve.
12. Maintain a high-Level understanding of current technology industry standards and how they interact with application solutions.
13. Assists in orienting and training lower-level employees. Checks the quality of the work performed by lower-level employees. May be asked to audit work for appropriate status, timing and closure of customer request.
14. Demonstrates the ability to direct and lead lower-level analysts, coordinating and prioritizing day-to-day tasks as needed.
15. As needed, provides supervisory decision-making to the team. Acts as backup when the IT Manager is on PTO.
16. Works across teams to identify problem trends. Plays a lead role in delivering measurable solutions that prevent these types of issues from recurring.
17. Assists the designated IT Manager in the development of measurable solutions that improve service delivery across teams.
18. Assists the designated IT Manager in the development of new processes and workflows that improve the quality, efficiency, and reliability of the team's service delivery.
19. Assists the designated IT Manager in the development of strategic and staff goals.
20. Assists the designated IT Manager in regards to Leadership Workforce Rounding including Stoplight Report and Performance Development.
21. Contributes to the organization's financial goals by recommending improvements that enhance the team's technical capabilities, drive efficiencies, and reduce operating costs.
22. On call as required.
23. Flexible hours when needed.
24. All other duties as assigned.

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.
