
PT - Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist specializing in orthopedic and geriatric care. The role involves evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for directing therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs aimed at promoting patients' return to community activities.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on effective discharge within an established length of stay.
Document medical records clearly, accurately, and on time, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
Provide supervision in student programs, offering a positive learning environment and completing evaluations.
Create and actively pursue a professional development plan with clinical management.
Adhere to discipline‑specific state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of services.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
Current CPR certification.
Active and applicable state license for the practice of physical therapy.
Schedule
The position operates on a 5x8 schedule, with 9-10 visits per day over 8‑hour shifts. Open to long‑term assignment starting ASAP.
