Outpatient Physical Therapist - New Grad
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring 40 hours per week.
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on individual needs and physician directions. This role includes overseeing therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring effective treatment programs are designed for optimal community reintegration. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while maintaining the organization’s core values and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to create tailored treatment plans and progress towards discharge goals.
Document care provided, including clear, concise medical records compliant with state and federal guidelines.
Provide direction and supervision to students in training, fostering a positive learning environment.
Continuously pursue professional development opportunities and apply acquired knowledge to enhance patient care.
Maintain adherence to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and uphold licensure in good standing.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Outpatient clinical experience of 6 months to 1 year is required.
Current CPR certification is mandatory.
An active physical therapy license in good standing for the state where services will be performed.
