Killingly High School is seeking a passionate and dynamic

Music (Choral) Teacher

to join our vibrant arts community. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students through choral music, foster a love of performance, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative school culture.

The ideal candidate will lead and grow a comprehensive choral program, including directing choirs, organizing performances, and engaging students of varying skill levels. We are looking for an educator who is enthusiastic about building student confidence, promoting musical excellence, and creating inclusive opportunities for all learners.

Responsibilities include:

Directing and developing the high school choral program

Planning and conducting concerts, performances, and school/community events

Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment

Collaborating with colleagues in the Fine Arts department and across disciplines

Encouraging student participation in music programs and extracurricular activities

Qualifications:

Connecticut Certification (049 – Music, PK–12) required

Strong background in choral music and vocal pedagogy

Experience working with high school students preferred

Excellent communication and organizational skills
