What are the Victory Learning Center Programs?
Victory Learning Center programs offer specialized educational services for students who are diagnosed with Autism or a Cognitive Disability paired with a mental-health diagnosis. There are two separate sites conveniently located in Lackawanna, NY, with a third opening in September 2026. Our sites service students ages 5-21, who are residentially placed or are referred through their local school district's Committee on Special Education.
Now Hiring For Teacher/Therapist Positions Beginning in July 2026
Special Education Teacher/Therapist
Includes working with adolescents, typically 12 – 18 years old that are diagnosed on the Autism spectrum with mental health concerns and developmental or intellectual disabilities.
The Special Education Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creation and oversight of an instructional environment utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis methodology.
Salary Pay Rate: $60,000 - $88,000
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education required, Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities. Previous working experience working with Autistic clients preferred, but not required.
Required License/Certification: NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education must be obtained within one year
Physical Education Teacher
Plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental health involvement in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creating flexible program and learnings environment that provides specialized activities in physical education for students with disabilities.
Salary Pay Rate: $60,000 - $88,000
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years working with individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental health involvement and 1-2 years teaching experience
Required License/Certification: NYS Teaching Certification in Physical Education
Music Teacher
The Music Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creating flexible program and learnings environment that provides specialized activities in Music for students with disabilities.
Salary Pay Rate: $60,000 - $88,000
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years working with individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental health involvement and 1-2 years teaching experience
Required License/Certification: NYS Teacher Certification in Music Education
Art Teacher
The Art Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creating flexible program and learnings environment that provides specialized activities in Art for students with disabilities.
Salary Pay Rate: $60,000 - $88,000
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Art Education
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years working with individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental health involvement preferred and 1-2 years teaching experience
Required License/Certification: NYS Teacher Certification in Art
Speech/Language Therapist
Provide speech/language therapy services to individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability and/or mental illness as outlined in their Individual Education Plan. Services are to be provided in accordance with New York State practice act guidelines for Speech/Language Therapy Services, the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association as well as in accordance with all company, state and federal standards and regulations; as well as within all regulations and requirements set forth by the organizations with which the company collaborates.
Salary Pay Rate: $75,000 - $90,000
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience is required
Required License/Certification: Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped Certification in NYS
