Scrum Master Job Description:
The Scrum Master is responsible for leading and driving agile scrum teams forward. The Scrum Master will escalate issues form the team and remove roadblocks. The Scrum Master also communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards. The Scrum Master strives to continuously improve the software delivery processes and practices. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

Facilitate team organization and ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily scrums/stand-ups, sprint/iteration reviews/demos and retrospectives).

Supporting an SAP project, ideally the perfect candidate will have SAP experience.
Coach team members on Agile values/principles, such as collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and transparency
Identify and remove any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team's ability to deliver against their commitments
Facilitate the creation and adoption of working agreements and definitions of done, including the use of appropriate tools, standards and best practices
Ensure the team tracks and communicates team progress and metrics to the appropriate audiences
Facilitate and enable an environment of collaboration and creativity, and empower the team to self-organize around achieving their commitments
Support/empower the team to make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
Challenge and enable the team to continuously improve through intentional Lean and data driven inspect and adapt cycles (retrospectives)
Protect the team from uncontrolled injection of work, and ensure changes are evaluated/intentional
Promote quality practices to ensure components, services and applications delivered by the team meet performance expectations, allow for graceful degradation and are appropriately scalable (vertical or horizontal) for Charter's expected growth pattern
Escalate associate problems to the team lead/management
Ensure that application lifecycle management tools accurately reflect progress, knowledge and the state of the Charter Technology teams' efforts
