In-Office IT Manager
The In-Office IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization’s internal technology infrastructure. This role ensures that all hardware, software, networks, and systems operate efficiently to support daily business operations. The IT Manager provides technical support to staff, manages cybersecurity practices, coordinates with vendors, and implements technology solutions that improve productivity and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
Maintain and manage company servers, networks, computers, and office technology systems
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
Ensure all hardware and software are updated and functioning properly
Manage backups, system security, and disaster recovery processes
Technical Support
Provide daily technical support to employees for computers, printers, phones, and software
Troubleshoot hardware, network, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain employee workstations and devices
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols
Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and threats
Ensure company data is protected through backups, encryption, and secure access practices
Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
Evaluate and recommend new hardware, software, and technology solutions
Oversee software licensing and subscriptions
Network Administration
Manage office network infrastructure including Wi-Fi, VPN, and remote access
Monitor network security and performance
Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Assist leadership in planning and implementing technology upgrades
Develop IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Help improve operational efficiency through technology solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
3 to 5+ years of IT management or systems administration experience
Strong knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure
Experience supporting Windows/Microsoft environments and office networks
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly
Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Knowledge of data backup, security, and compliance practices
Primarily in-office role supporting internal staff and systems
May require occasional after-hours work for system maintenance or emergency troubleshooting
