Culinary Supervisor!

The Culinary Supervisor must have understanding of kitchen operations within the hotel and be able to supervise the Banquets and Restaurant kitchens. The Supervisor is responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guest's needs in a timely manner while supervising the hourly cooks in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Our Culinary Supervisor has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of a Sous Chef. The following skills and knowledge are required:
Basic cost control understanding
Culinary leadership skills
Proficiency in computer skills
Monitoring and processing payroll costs and overtime
Knowledge of ordering and working with the Purchasing team to fulfill needed requisitions
Resourceful, able to make decisions thoughtfully and promptly
The hourly rate range for this position is $32.70/hour to $33.35/hour. The starting rate is $32.70/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in the Culinary Supervisor position with Hyatt for four years or more, which is currently offered at $33.35/hour.

Qualifications
(4) years of previous line experience preferred, in banquet and restaurant kitchens
Culinary leadership experience preferred
Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
Experience in high‑volume kitchens, including fine dining and/or From Scratch cooking
Candidates should be able to perform all basic, intermediate, and advanced cooking skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, while standing/walking for long periods of time
Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen
Ability to lift/push/pull a moderate amount of weight
Strong communication skills
Open schedule flexibility to include mornings, weekends and holidays required
Understanding of food safety standards
Must have Food Handler's Card
