
Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with tax, benefit, and deduction regulations, and maintains employee records. The role includes recruiting, training, and developing staff while providing leadership and guidance on payroll‑related matters. It also involves preparing reports, managing year‑end processes, addressing employee inquiries, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review employee time records for accurate reporting and schedule compliance.
Process adjustments, bonuses, and other payments as needed.
Prepare necessary reports for management and compliance purposes.
Ensure all benefits, tax, and other required deductions are properly implemented and processed.
Manage the employee and payroll files.
Manage the year‑end statement process, including revisions.
Respond to employee and manager inquiries as required.
Recruit, select, develop, manage, motivate, coach, and mentor assigned employees; provide guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegate work assignments considering employee skills and development needs.
Maintain confidentiality of all information.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in payroll administration.
Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
Subject to DOT drug testing and, if applicable, a physical examination.

Benefits and Compensation
Competitive compensation ranging from $84,000 to $104,000 minimum.
Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks.
Sick days: 5 days.
Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating.

Physical Requirements
The essential functions are performed indoors in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities.
Sit, type, and look at a computer screen for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
