The
Accounts Payable and Payroll Officer
is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and payroll functions. This includes verifying and processing invoices, preparing and distributing paychecks, and maintaining accurate financial records.
The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Manage the end-to-end process of verifying, coding, and processing invoices for payment.
Payroll Management:
Prepare, process, and distribute payroll in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
General Financial Operations:
Support day-to-day financial activities, assist with reconciliations, and maintain up-to-date financial documentation.
All other relevant duties assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with specific accounting and payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP) is an asset.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to invoices, payments, and payroll discrepancies.
Experience in accounts payable and payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
