Equine Event/Show Support Staff
The purpose of this position is to assist the Equine Facility and Event Coordinator in maintaining the Equestrian Center facilities before, during and after community events.
Job Duties:
Clean out stalls/rental facility from weekend events
Set out bedding and prepare maintenance equipment for weekend events
Maintain arena footing before, during and after weekend events; assist with daily maintenance
Monitor ongoing events in rental facility during weekends
Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school/GED required. Associates degree in Equine Management (or related field) preferred.
Three years of experience in equine barn management preferred.
Certifications and Licenses:
OSHA certified to operate tractor and skid steer
Abilities:
Good people skills and helpful attitude
Ability to accomplish tasks independent of the facility manager; good organizational skills and ability to take direction; knowledge and ability to organize multiple priorities and job duties
Attention to detail and accuracy completing tasks; willingness to accept unfamiliar tasks/learn unfamiliar skills including horse safety and equipment maintenance
Knowledge of general barn procedures and protocols
