About This Job

The mission of the LPC Board of Examiners is to protect the public interest by regulating the practice of mental health counseling, the practice of marriage and family therapy, and the use of the titles of Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or any similar term, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), and Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT). An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
Maintain, order, and verify receipt of supplies and office equipment
Process and sort mail for staff
Implement and maintain office procedures
Ensure database, website, and files are updated with current information for licensees/provisional licenses
Process teletherapy certification
Provide the examination code to individuals requesting to take the national exam
Contribute to team effort and protection of the public in a meaningful, professional, and appropriate manner
Assist the credentialing Specialist and the Executive Director as needed
