The Data Center Services Procurement (DCSP) team supports data center capacity delivery by managing the full supplier lifecycle, including strategic sourcing, intake, onboarding, solicitations, compliance, contract management, supplier development, and parts of requisitioning and payment operations.

Role Overview
A Procurement Ops Specialist will support the Japanese data center construction space across various categories (construction, professional services, engineering, and related). Working closely with procurement category managers, the specialist will manage vendor qualifications, requests for proposals, vendor performance dashboards, and procurement processes to identify waste and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Independently and cross‑functionally deliver projects and goals.

Manage supplier onboarding and qualification processes.

Manage tender events and support contract generation for the procurement category manager.

Handle post‑contract metrics, audit processes, and work‑award analysis.

Identify dashboard requirements for metrics reporting and opportunities for process improvement.

Develop training documentation for process improvements.

Monitor and manage the purchase requisition process using information provided by business owners and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analysis, Construction, or related fields.

3+ years of supply chain management, production planning, capacity planning, or manufacturing operations experience.

Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, both verbal and written.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a procurement/purchasing analyst or other operational role within a procurement organization.

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical or quantitative field.

Knowledge of procurement software tools and demonstrated success in a metrics‑oriented environment.

Ability to create, track, analyze, and report on metrics.
