About the Role: The Director of Operational Performance serves as a key member of the Operational Performance Team, responsible for driving operational excellence, contract compliance, and financial performance across assigned operating locations.
This role partners closely with field leadership and corporate stakeholders to analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement actionable strategies that improve financial and operational outcomes. The Director also serves as a cross-functional project leader and internal consultant, supporting enterprise initiatives focused on standardization, Lean process improvement, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities
Operational & Financial Performance Management: Analyze operational, financial, and KPI data to assess performance across assigned locations; evaluate P&L performance, cost drivers, and operational trends to identify risks and opportunities; develop actionable insights and recommendations tied to measurable financial and operational outcomes; monitor performance against contractual obligations, service level agreements, and company standards.
Performance Improvement & Strategy Execution: Lead development of structured action plans to improve operational and financial performance; partner with field leadership to implement improvement initiatives and track progress; identify enterprise-wide trends and recommend scalable solutions to improve efficiency and consistency; support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Project & Change Management: Lead and manage multiple concurrent operational and performance improvement projects; coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely execution of initiatives; define project timelines, KPIs, deliverables, and success metrics; drive accountability across teams to ensure successful implementation of improvement plans.
Field Support & Training: Serve as a liaison between corporate performance teams and field operations; conduct on-site and remote operational reviews to assess performance and compliance; train operational leaders and staff on performance tools, reporting systems, and best practices; support adoption of the Transdev Operations Management (TOM) system and Performance Management Model (PMM).
Data, Reporting & Insights: Utilize Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools to analyze and visualize operational performance; export and interpret data sets (including CSV-based reporting) to support analysis and decision-making; present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable format.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field.
3+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, operations, or transportation/field operations.
Experience working with KPIs, financial performance metrics, and operational reporting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Experience in transportation, logistics, or multi-site operational environments (preferred).
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience (preferred).
Project management experience in a cross-functional environment (preferred).
Experience working with P&L ownership or financial accountability (preferred).
Skills for Success
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical solutions.
Ability to influence and collaborate across field and corporate teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Travel
The position requires the ability to travel to corporate and various field locations (40%), mostly domestic but occasional international travel may be required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Non-standard work hours and weekends expected as necessary to support the activities of the business.
Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
