Position Overview
One or more temporary, part‑time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.
Responsibilities
Teach one or more basic and advanced courses for undergraduate and graduate students in Speech‑Language Pathology and/or Audiology.
Assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or online.
Perform all duties within the state of California, as required by California State University policy.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in communication disorders with academic and practical expertise.
University teaching experience preferred.
CA State license and Board Certification by ASHA in Speech‑Language Pathology and/or Audiology preferred.
Knowledge of contemporary content standards, framework, and accountability system for California P‑12 public schooling.
Awareness of diversity in society, including diverse abilities, culture, language, ethnicity, and gender orientation.
Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, learning, scholarship, and service.
Salary
Lecturer. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience and is within the appropriate range per the Lecturer Academic Year Classification schedule.
Dates
Fall Semester begins August 17, 2026; Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.
