SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting within DSV. This position is responsible for applying established accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial data, prepare timely and accurate reports, and maintain robust internal controls.
Key responsibilities include managing a wide range of general ledger activities such as revenue recognition, account reconciliations, month‑end close processes, inventory reconciliations, and financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will also prepare and interpret profit centre reports, investigate variances against budgets, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
In addition, this role collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhance efficiency, and drive cost‑saving initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with analytical skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for assigned month‑end closing and reporting tasks; review and analyze reports for accuracy and ensure timeliness of their submittal.
Prepare monthly profit centre reports and work with the business to understand and report fluctuation analysis to management. Monitor budget performance and provide explanations for variances upon request.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and work to prevent future errors. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
Responsible for assigned account reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items therein.
Ensure that company standards and procedures are applied consistently in financial reporting. Ensure adherence to all DSV compliance and financial manuals as well as local policies; recommend new policies as needed.
Assist in budget planning, rolling forecast and submittal, as assigned.
Identify business strategic indicators and implement processes to track performance against these indicators.
Coordinate with other controlling team members located in Israel and APAC as needed to ensure consistent processes and timely reporting of consolidated results.
Collaborate with other department managers to support overall company goals and objectives.
Respond to inquiries from DSV Finance regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports for management and external stakeholders.
Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
Other ad hoc reporting or tasks, as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in logistics, manufacturing industry or inventory management.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Language Skills
English (reading, writing and verbal).
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures.
Other Skills
Strong understanding of established international financial reporting standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Ability to manage confidential information with the utmost care, security and discretion.
Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously and effectively.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,000 - $105,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
