
Senior Accountant

General Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting by leading balance sheet reconciliations, lease accounting processes, and compliance with ASC 842. The Senior Accountant will work cross-functionally with internal teams including payroll, leasing, and legal, and must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve variances proactively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Analyze financial data and trends, identifying anomalies or variances that require further investigation.
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
Support external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Review and ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions and consolidations.
Stay up to date with regulatory and industry changes affecting accounting practices.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff and help drive process improvements.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
Other duties as assigned.

Specific Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA strongly preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, with experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks.
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment for prolonged durations.
Ability to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds.
Regular and reliable attendance on-site, Monday through Friday.
