Job Summary
Are you a dynamic and people-focused HR professional passionate about attracting great talent and creating an environment where employees feel engaged and supported? We are seeking a Talent Management Specialist to support recruitment efforts while driving employee retention and engagement initiatives across our long-term care facilities.
This role plays a key part in strengthening our workforce by building strong candidate pipelines, enhancing the employee experience, and implementing strategies that improve retention and satisfaction. You will work closely with facility leadership and HR to ensure we not only hire the right people—but keep them.
Responsibilities
Lead and support recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for open roles across multiple facilities
Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines through job boards, outreach, referrals, and community partnerships
Attend and represent the organization at job fairs, school partnerships, and community recruitment events
Build relationships with local schools, training programs, and community organizations to generate qualified candidates (e.g., nurses, CNAs)
Design and implement employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and improve workforce stability
Support and enhance employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and culture-building activities
Partner with facility leadership to identify retention risks and develop targeted action plans
Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive new hire experience
Analyze workforce data (turnover, hiring metrics, engagement feedback) to identify trends and recommend improvements
Collaborate with HR and leadership to strengthen employee experience and workplace culture
Maintain accurate records in HR systems and provide regular updates on recruitment and retention metrics
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required or equivalent experience
3–5+ years of experience in HR, talent management, or recruiting
Strong experience employee engagement and retention initiatives
Experience supporting performance management and employee engagement initiatives
Ability to analyze data and identify trends related to turnover and hiring
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR systems/ATS
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare or long-term care recruiting and workforce development
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Apploi
Experience with learning & development or succession planning programs
