Overview

The HR Generalist is responsible for executing core employee lifecycle activities and supporting HR Business Partner functions across US operations. This role ensures efficient onboarding, employee record management, HR systems transactions, and supports employee relations and performance processes.
This position supports a multi‑site, operational workforce environment, partnering with HR leaders and managers on day‑to‑day needs while developing capability in employee relations and business partnership. This role requires a strong ownership mindset, with the ability to independently manage execution while knowing when to raise more complex or high‑risk matters.
Responsibilities

This position includes but not limited to the following functions:
Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
Manage end-to-end onboarding for employees, including documentation, system setup, and orientation coordination
Process employee changes in HR systems (ADP), including hires, terminations, transfers, and status updates
Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including I-9s and required documentation
Facilitate employee verification requests and HR documentation needs
Monitor and support employee lifecycle milestones (onboarding, transfers, exits)
Support high‑volume onboarding, offboarding, and employee transitions related to organizational growth and restructuring, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee data and documentation
Prioritize competing requests and workload effectively in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment
Employee Relations & Case Support
Own triage and prioritization of HR inquiries (HR mailbox), ensuring timely response, appropriate routing, and escalation of employee and manager issues
Support employee relations cases through documentation, coordination, and follow‑up
Assist in workplace investigations and ensure proper documentation standards
Escalate complex or high‑risk issues to HR leadership
Performance Management Support
Drive tracking and completion of performance review processes ensuring documentation quality
Partner with HRBP leadership with performance‑related documentation (PIPs, coaching notes, etc.)
Monitor performance milestones and follow up with managers as needed
Manager & Employee Support
Provide practical, timely guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, processes, and employee matters
Support manager coaching conversations through preparation and documentation
Assist in onboarding managers and ensuring understanding of HR processes
Compliance & Reporting
Support HR compliance activities including audits, reporting, and documentation
Assist in preparing reports related to workforce data, employee activity, and HR metrics
Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable employment regulations
HRBP Support & Business Initiatives
Support HRBP leadership in workforce planning activities and organizational changes
Assist in change management execution and employee communications
Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed
Gain exposure to employee relations, performance management, and business partnership activities to support ongoing development toward broader HR responsibilities
Success in This Role Looks Like:

Onboarding and employee changes are processed accurately and on time
Employee inquiries are handled efficiently with clear ownership
HR documentation is complete, compliant, and audit‑ready
Managers receive timely and practical HR support
Employee relations issues are properly documented and escalated
Qualifications

Competencies

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Ability to assess situations, apply sound judgment, and determine appropriate resolution or escalation
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
2–5 years of progressive HR experience (generalist or equivalent)
Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes and HR systems (ADP or similar)
Exposure to employee relations, performance management, or compliance activities
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
