Job Summary:
We're seeking a
Purchasing Assistant
to support daily business operations by managing product and material procurement for production and manufacturing. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong communication and follow-through, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in purchasing and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Place orders based on inventory and production needs
Track shipments and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to align purchases with company requirements
Maintain and grow vendor relationships through proactive communication
Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery standards
Investigate and resolve purchase discrepancies or non-conforming materials
Support other duties as assigned

Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.

Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience
At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role (Lean environment preferred)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
Advanced computer literacy required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Macola software preferred
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
