Assignment Details
Duration: 5-6 months
Compensation and Benefits: $28.69/hr, paid holidays and vacation/sick leave. Mid-level benefits available.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
Location: 100% on site.
Responsibilities
Assist with multiple research protocols; complete administrative duties across several projects.
Recruit and schedule patient appointments, including visiting clinics for recruitment.
Conduct recruitment interviews and consent participants into studies.
Collect demographic and relevant information; maintain and update patient and research databases.
Assist the team during research visits as needed.
Assist in biorepository operations: process samples, store, transport, ship lab samples, and track.
Perform general laboratory maintenance and assist with equipment maintenance.
Assist with IRB requirements: draft consent forms, review study protocols, prepare applications/reports to address regulatory rules.
Review and verify site regulatory files; assist with monitoring visits.
Provide administrative support to director and investigators of MASLD research center.
Complete other tasks as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Experience with EPIC.
Required Qualifications
Theoretical knowledge of biology, microbiology, social sciences, or clinical sciences typical of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience performing clinical research duties in a clinical research environment.
Experience with statistical software and database, word processing, and spreadsheet applications such as Velos, Access, Excel, and MS Word.
Experience with laboratory procedures and interpreting values for patient eligibility and potential toxicities.
Experience with FDA policies regulating clinical trials.
Experience in medical assessment and patient interviewing to determine toxicities related to protocol management.
Experience interpreting medical charts and abstracting data from medical records.
Knowledge of NIH, GCP, IIPP, HRPP, IATA Shipping of Blood Specimens, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
Experience with clinical trials participant recruitment or study subject recruitment.
Experience coordinating study startup activities.
Experience maintaining files and keeping records.
Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to work in a changing, multiple-demand setting; prioritize a large volume of work and meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; accurate typing; phone etiquette.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Experience completing clinical trials case report forms via hard copy and online.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including professional and non-professional staff and clients.
Special Conditions

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $59,905 - $71,451 (prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $28.69 - $34.22. Factors for compensation include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, certifications, and other business needs.
