Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators, the incumbent will assist in providing interventions to research participants with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, as well as individuals with suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The incumbent will conduct cognitive and diagnostic assessments, sensor data collection using mobile technology, and attend research meetings. Responsibilities include scheduling visits, preparing research forms, maintaining research charts and study materials, translating data into secure online platforms, and serving as a liaison between studies and PIs in case of emergencies. The incumbent will also perform other project and miscellaneous duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Theoretical knowledge in psychiatry, psychology or related field, including theoretical knowledge of and experience providing behavioral psychotherapy.
Theoretical knowledge and experience working in geriatric psychiatry with older adults with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Experience working with individuals with complex data from mobile devices and sensors.
Experience training individuals in use of mobile devices to conduct assessments for individuals with serious mental illnesses.
Proven ability to conduct bio‑psychosocial assessments.
Proven ability to effectively and accurately document research procedures and discuss research materials.
Good organizational skills to file and maintain participant tracking, including annual bio‑psychosocial assessments; accuracy in record keeping.
Demonstrated experience with personal computer operation and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to coordinate and implement recruitment strategies and screen database for study eligibility.
Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for professional collaboration.
Strong communication skills to conduct psychosocial interventions and follow structured protocols.
Demonstrated ability to maintain participant confidentiality.
Prior experience with Microsoft Excel, other database programs, SPSS, SAS or other statistical programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with data sharing processes within NIH.
