Mechanic B (Day shift)

Job Summary

Shift and Schedule
1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Onboarding
Structured 4–5 day onboarding program from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. New employees expected to complete during first week.

Position Summary
As a Mechanic, you’ll perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. Working across mechanical, electrical, and utility systems, you will troubleshoot issues, support continuous improvement, help train junior technicians, and contribute to a safe, organized, high‑performing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs across production and facility equipment.

Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems.

Support root cause analysis and problem‑solving projects.

Clean, lubricate, and inspect machinery for wear or damage.

Monitor and maintain plant systems.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.

5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.

Mechanical/electrical trade background or technical school preferred.

Working knowledge of CMMS strongly recommended.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move throughout your shift.

Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens.

Flexible to work overtime based on business needs.

Skills

Comfortable using CMMS and basic software (Oilers, compressors, HVAC, etc.).

Use manuals, drawings, and technical resources to diagnose issues.

Assist with emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance.

Train and support lower-level technicians.Follow safety rules, GMPs, SOPs, and company policies.

Experience with Excel, Word.

Experience with SAP, Oracle, AS400, PQM, or Captiva preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organization.

Advanced math and reading skills.

Able to read blueprints and create rough sketches.

Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment.

Knowledge of electrical testing tools and mechanical systems.

Team‑oriented, dependable, and self‑motivated.

Willing to learn and adapt to changing tasks.

Compensation and Benefits
Approximate hourly pay: $33.44 (final compensation may vary).
