Schedule: 12 Hour Day, 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week.
Job Description
The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering respiratory therapies, ensuring patient safety and response. This role includes conducting patient assessments, monitoring responses to treatments, and documenting procedures such as Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures. The therapist will manage ventilator settings, airway maintenance, and adhere to established safety guidelines and protocols.
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy and aerosol treatments.
Conduct patient assessments and correlate care with patient needs.
Monitor and document patient responses to respiratory treatments.
Perform Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures accurately.
Manage ventilator settings and airway maintenance.
Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
Maintain compliance with safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required.
Must hold a valid RRT license in New Mexico.
