Job Description
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Coating Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery and equipment with specified materials or solution(s).

Full time, onsite
Schedule:

Monday 5:45am - 3pm, Tuesday - Friday 6:45am - 3pm
Compensation:

Starting hourly rate of $22.00 an hour. A $0.50 an hour increase is given after 90 days of employment. A $3,000 retention bonus will be paid out in $1,000 increments at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.

Responsibilities

Mix and apply urethane coatings to a nylon textile.

Monitors coating machine variables to maintain proper machine conditions.

Responsible for QC in-line inspection of coated rolls and proper tracking of defects.

Must understand Acceptance Criteria and all paperwork aspects of job.

Must follow instructions from Supervisor.

Will be trained to perform all routine operations such as forms & paperwork completion.

Handling of chemical mixes, roll flagging, knife cleaning, oven cleaning, waste handling and storage.

Communicates all information to operators on the next shift.

Ensures that a safe, clean and healthy work environment is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Basic reading, writing and math skills.

Must be able to read, write and speak basic English.

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Reliable transportation required.

Pre‑employment physical, drug screen & background check required.

Successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

Proven work experience in a manufacturing setting.

Familiarity with the use of fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment.

Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work; ability to lift or move at least 40 lbs.

Positive and team‑work focused attitude. Must work well with others.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.

The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
