
Associate Attorney

Our client is a boutique law firm with 3 locations in Texas including San Antonio, Houston and Austin. For over 20 years now, they have been providing a variety of expertise to a very diversified roster of clients, and their areas of practice include business law, construction, appellate, employment, government, M&A, oil & gas, real estate, trademark & copyright, technology, privacy & security as well as probate and estate planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Draft estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
Manage probate matters from initiation through closing, including court filings and client communication
Handle guardianship cases, including applications, hearings, and ongoing compliance
Meet with clients to gather information, explain legal options, and provide guidance in sensitive matters
Appear in court as needed for probate and guardianship proceedings
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure timely and accurate case management
Maintain organized and complete client files and meet all deadlines
Stay current on applicable laws and procedural changes
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
2–5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and/or guardianship
Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Professional demeanor and strong client-service orientation
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
