American Leadership Academy – Music Teacher (2026-2027)
Position located in the West Valley. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Responsibilities
Implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address the learning needs of students at various proficiency levels.
Teach music theory, history, and performance techniques through individual and group instruction.
Provide instruction on instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, or orchestral instruments, as applicable.
Conduct vocal lessons for choir or vocal classes, focusing on technique, breath control, and performance skills.
Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and collaboration.
Assess student progress through performance evaluations, tests, and informal assessments, and provide constructive feedback.
Organize and lead rehearsals for school concerts, recitals, or musical productions, ensuring students are well‑prepared.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall curriculum.
Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress, upcoming performances, and any concerns.
Promote the music program within the school and community, encouraging student participation and engagement.
Maintain an organized, well‑equipped classroom, ensuring instruments, materials, and resources are accessible and in good condition.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational practices, technologies, and subject matter.
Participate in school meetings, committees, and other professional activities as required.
Prepare and submit reports, lesson plans, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Music Performance, or related field.
Arizona Teaching Certificate or 24 credit hours in area or Content knowledge exams (AEPA, NES, Praxis).
